My passion for cooking and baking began at the early age of 14. Growing up in a family of 10, my Italian Mother spent countless hours in the kitchen and I took every opportunity to cook right beside her. My interest in cooking led to my 30 year career at Berardi's Restaurant in Huron as an owner/operator, retiring in 2013, After retirement, I began studying food extensively which then led to my desire to share my knowledge with others. I enjoy a good kitchen challenge, and I have been known to make a single recipe as many as 15 times in order to perfect it. Baking is at the top of my favorites followed by Italian Cuisine. Italian cookies and pastries bring back such wonderful memories from my childhood and I love to recreate our family favorites. I often help others recreate family favorites when details have been left out of their old family recipes. A recent gastronomic tour of Italy wetted my desire to explore the different regional dishes of Italy. Pasta is my favorite food to eat, and I enjoy making it just as much. Join me while we duplicate the delectable foods from Italy in our home kitchens! I am the happiest when I am baking, cooking, and sharing in my kitchen. Setting my table and sharing a meal with friends and family brings me great joy.
The kitchen is the "heart" of my home! It was a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to design the kitchen of my dreams. The interactive space boasts a 12 foot island where friends and family gather to learn about new foods or to improve on their kitchen skills. My dining room table has seven leaves and can accommodate up to 18 people. Induction stove tops are popular in Europe and became my choice for my new kitchen. Induction cooking presents a learning curve but it was well worth the time and effort. Induction cooking is clean and precise and a great surface to cook on. There can never be enough storage space for all the ingredients and cooking tools for a chef, my walk in pantry off the kitchen is a great space for my many necessities.

In addition to sharing my kitchen and love for food, my husband Larry and I enjoy entertaining. Larry continually makes bourbon lover's out of many guests who state that they do not like bourbon! Larry's "Manhattan" is the best!
Tiramisu, Italian cookies, and biscotti are among my favorite Italian desserts. Fresh egg pasta, cheese ravioli, manicotti, flavored pastas, and the many delicious sauces to make these dishes complete are just a few of my specialties.
